While watching the town hall about gun violence in schools, I already saw how the “left” and the “right” will play this political struggle. The left will talk about how great and courageous the kids were, and I definitely agree. The right will lie that it was a hit job against Dana Loesch, the pro-slaughter NRA, and amendment in general. The real issue for Dana is “Did she do enough to appease her masters at NRA?”
They won’t think so. She floated and backpedaled on questions asked and looked like an idiot in the process. A few other things I saw from the town hall:
• Wow, this Sheriff Israel is clearly a non NRA sheriff. He’s not how I thought of what a cop usually is. Normally I think that a lot (not all) of cops are just high school jocks still looking for meaning and popularity once their high school career is over, but not Israel. He’s a different breed who seems to care.
• Also, these teenagers are amazing. I don’t think that I or a lot of my classmates would have had the bravery and the aptitude for powerful political thought. Then again, school shootings weren’t something that happened when I was in school, and I wouldn’t know, nor can anyone else who hasn’t been in that exact horrible situation say they would either.
Returning to Dana Loesch, we must wait and see if the NRA will still keep her as a major spokesperson. I think so, unless Tomi Lahren starts to pose with AR-15s, getting the dumb suckers to follow a pretty face with a small shallow mind, just like they did with Dana.
