Donald Trump won’t visit the UK unless Theresa May makes sure that he is not met with protests, because he is worried about his giant fragile ego.
Bloomberg reported that Trump complained in a call to May about the “negative coverage” he has gotten in the British press.
May informed the US president it was how the UK media worked and she could do nothing to change it. Anyway, she does not seek to control the press like President Donald Stalin.
Trump then said that he would not go to the UK unless he was guaranteed that he would not be met with protests.
Advisers who were listening to the phone call are reported to have been “astonished” at the infantile demands.
The two are due to met for bilateral discussions at the World Economic Forum in Davos yesterday.
Trump’s whining and demands are the latest indication of the increasingly fragile “special” relationship between the UK and the US after Trump pulled out of a visit to Britain.
The president was billed to open the new US embassy in London this February but cancelled the trip because of his displeasure about its “off location” in south London.
The previous embassy in Grosvenor Square was a major security headache that wasn’t fixable, which meant a new building needed to be put up elsewhere in London. It was eventually decided to move it to a more secure location, a few miles away in the Vauxhall area.
Trump has created anger in the UK ever since he became president nearly a year ago.
He attacked the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan after terror attacks in London, prompting the mayor to ask for any visit by Trump to the UK to be cancelled.
Public disdain for Traitor Trump escalated further when he targeted May.
Trump tweeted in response: “Theresa May, don’t focus on me, focus on the destructive Radical Islamic Terrorism that is taking place within the United Kingdom. We are doing just fine!” Of course the UK doesn’t want such an arrogant racist in their country.
