Really? This is just ridiculously funny. Chas Fagan, a North Carolina painter and sculptor, has painted all 44 prior presidents for the C-SPAN American Presidents Life Portraits exhibit. It was released last week.
Fagan said that the most challenging part of depicting the Donald was his eyes. We all know that the eyes are a “window to the soul,” and when you read what Fagan has to say, well…you won’t be very surprised.
“One of the more challenging aspects of this specific portrait was President-Elect Trump’s eyes. In most photos, his eyes are in shadow and difficult to see, in part due to his distinctive brow line. But eyes are such a recognizable feature, and necessary to give a portrait warmth and personality, so I worked to give them a bit more prominence.” Fagan concluded that “the result is that we have a softer look into his face than we often get from public media photography.”
In other words, he had to make him up a little because his eyes are dark like his heart and soul…
But what is ridiculously funny about the whole thing, is the way the artist (and I can’t say whether it was intentional) made the…
So was that to distract us from the orange-ness of his face? Hmmm……. Or was it a subtle jab? In either case, people are laughing immediately when they see it!
Check out orange man.
I must say, this portrait makes him look better than real life. Maybe it was to protect future Americans from the horrors of wondering how this guy got elected.
