Almost forty years after “9 to 5,” Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda can still take down a man.
The legendary actresses staged a reunion at the Emmys Sunday night with Dolly Parton and took advantage of the opportunity to bash President Trump — without even saying his name.
“Back in 1980, in that movie, we refused to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot,” Fonda began.
“And in 2017, we still refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot,” Tomlin finished.
Tomlin, who stars with Fonda in “Grace and Frankie,” has utilized the awards show platform to blast Trump before.
Backstage at the SAG Awards back in January, she compared his political tactics to those used in Nazi Germany in the 1940s.
Jane Fonda also offered the President a luxurious line of adult diapers called “Trumpers” during an appearance on the “Late Show” in March.
