Reality Check: Major Political Decisions No Longer Being Made in the White House

Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) ripped President Trump on Wednesday over his dishonest negotiations with Congress while the partial shutdown went into its 12th day, saying that the U.S. is currently governed “from Rush Limbaugh’s studio in South Florida.”

While speaking on MSNBC’s show “Morning Joe,” Tim Ryan accused the lying president of offering deals with lawmakers behind in private before rescinding them while being recorded by news cameras.

“We’re dealing with someone who is dishonest,” Ryan explained of Trump. “You could make a deal in a room with a handshake and by the time he’s out of the room the deal’s over, he’s in front of the camera.”

“And let’s just put this all in perspective,” continued the Ohio congressman. “The main problem here is he’s worried about the investigation that’s breathing down his neck right now. So his only goal is to appeal to Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham and Rush Limbaugh.”

“He feels like he has to protect that base, because he fears what’s coming down the pike in the investigation,” Representative Ryan says. “As long as that is the case, you have the tail wagging the dog, and we are going to get government from Rush Limbaugh’s studio in South Florida.”

Tim Ryan’s comments come while conservative media figures such as Limbaugh and Coulter have foolishly pressured the president to stay firm on reckless demands for $5 billion for the proposed racist border wall during the government shutdown fight, which is hurting hundreds of thousands of Americans for the sake of one man’s madness and the racist hatred of those who support him.

The president met on Wednesday with congressional leaders within the White House Situation Room while the partial shutdown continues, with the Democrats taking the House majority on Thursday after the largely unproductive meeting.

Democrats and the racist White House have fought for weeks over the funding for the president’s evil plans for a wall along the southern border. Donald Trump had said he would accept the blame for closing down the government to (fail to) get the funding.

Despite that lying promise, Trump has blamed Democrats for the partial shutdown after a decent compromise bill that failed to fully meet the White House’s ridiculous demands to fund the wall got rejected last month.
