Insider Uses Reptilian Terms to Describe Trump White House Staff

A forthcoming book from an ex-White House aide will expose President Trump’s staff as being an angry and combative “team of vipers,” reported The New York Times on Monday.

Cliff Sims, who worked for the Trump campaign before working for the White House communications staff, will be releasing a new book called “Team of Vipers,” an inside look at the disastrous presidency of Donald Trump. It is being released in January 2019.

“Lincoln famously had his Team of Rivals. Trump had his Team of Vipers. We served. We fought. We brought our egos. We brought our personal agendas and vendettas. We were ruthless. And some of us, I assume, were good people,” Cliff Sims wrote with an author’s note that was obtained by NYT.

The news outlet has reported that Cliff Sims kept several hundred pages of notes dating from his time working in the White House, and he was a part of many meetings that went far beyond his typical duties. Cliff Sims received an advance for the book of over $1,000,000.

Politico initially reported on the release of the explosive book.

Sims will become just the latest former White House staffer to convert their time in the chaotic Trump administration into a hit book. Former aides Sean Spicer as well as Omarosa Manigault Newman both wrote memoirs focused on their work in the White House. Sean Spicer’s was unfortunately plagued by undue flattery of the president, but Manigault Newman hit the nail on the head and exposed Trump for being both a racist and misogynist with her book.

Other books, like Bob Woodward’s instant classic “Fear: Trump in the White House” along with Michael Wolff’s brilliant “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” painted the White House as being a chaotic environment that is rife with infighting.
