Donald Trump trails Michelle Obama\, Oprah Winfrey and Senator Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) each by double digits in some potential 2020 presidential races, a new poll shows.
Trump also trails many other female candidates in the potential races, although by much slimmer margins, an Axios poll conducted via SurveyMonkey found.
The poll shows Donald Trump trailing by 13% to Obama among the registered voters polled, by 12% to Oprah and by 10% to Harris. Trump is also down by 9% to Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) among the registered voters surveyed, by 6% to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) and is even down by 5% to his opponent in 2016, Hillary Clinton.
The closest race projection is between Trump and Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). Warren has a 2% lead among the registered voters polled.
The poll also showed that Trump’s favorability rating for registered voters surveyed is just 40%. That puts him at a massive disadvantage against candidates like Obama and Oprah, whose approval ratings among the registered voters are at 62 and 55 percent, respectively.
The poll’s results, first aired Sunday night via HBO, are based on two surveys. One was done Oct. 24-28 with 3,411 adults and it has a 2.5% margin of error. The other was done Oct. 28-30 with 6,497 adults and it has a 1.5% margin of error.
