Ohio Governor John Kasich (R) said on Monday that President Donald Trump’s conduct is part of why he did not endorse the real estate tycoon in 2016.
“I was very, very strong about my feeling about how the president has conducted himself,” John Kasich said while on MSNBC. “It’s part of the reason why I didn’t endorse him.”
Governor Kasich was responding to remarks made earlier that day by Jeh Johnson, the former Secretary of Homeland Security, who said while on CNN that American elected officials must “restore civility” after a horrifying week that included a deadly mass shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue and explosive devices that were addressed to several prominent Democrats.
Johnson said that Trump “has the largest bullhorn” so it’s up to the immature president to change his ways and “set the tone” as well as “set the mood in our nation.”
Donald Trump ignorantly blamed the media for the violence in America, despite the fact that these very statements directly inspired a Trump supporter to mail bombs to CNN.
Unable to understand that his rhetoric may very well get journalists killed, the tyrant president ranted on Twitter, “The Fake News Media, the true Enemy of the People, must stop the open & obvious hostility & report the news accurately & fairly. That will do much to put out the flame of Anger and Outrage and we will then be able to bring all sides together in Peace and Harmony. Fake News Must End!”
We desperately need Donald Trump out of office before things get even worse.
