Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, two human manifestations of pure selfishness, have had a nauseating love-hate-cringe-vomit relationship for a long time. They were very vicious to each other in the Republican primary. Donald Trump attacked Cruz’s wife, like the sexist pig he is. Cruz almost threatened to kill Donald Trump in response. Then, because Ted Cruz is a coward and afraid of losing his precious Senate seat, he endorsed Donald Trump at the last second. Cruz is about to lose his seat to liberal hero Beto O’Rourke, so Trump is returning the favor now – but a familiar enemy has different plans.
Ted Cruz and Beto O’Rourke are virtually tied in the polls for the race for the U.S. Senate in Texas. Beto O’Rourke is running a very spirited and inspiring campaign, while Cruz has responded primarily by staying up all night to hurl insults at actors like Kevin Bacon or Ron Perlman. It’s as if Ted Cruz doesn’t have any idea what to do when his back is up against the wall.
Over the last weekend, Donald Trump posted this stupid tweet: “I will be doing a major rally for Senator Ted Cruz in October. I’m picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find. As you know, Ted has my complete and total Endorsement. His opponent is a disaster for Texas – weak on Second Amendment, Crime, Borders, Military, and Vets!” And now attorney and liberal activist Michael Avenatti, who recently finished playing a crucial role in getting Michael Cohen to flip on Trump, has some plans to derail the Trump-Cruz rally.
Michael Avenatti tweeted this in response to the rally announcement: “I am excited to announce that I will be leading a large resistance rally in Texas at the exact same time of Trump’s (details tba). All groups are welcome to join. We must fight fire with fire and we must send a message that we will fight to make America America again.” We will see who ends up getting the bigger crowd. Of course, if Trump loses, he’ll just lie about it. In any case, good-looking future Senator Beto O’Rourke will be the true winner of the night.
