On Wednesday, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said that if Democrats gain control of the House of Representatives in November’s midterm elections, it would cause gridlock and “partisan” investigations of President “Election-rigger” Trump.
Ryan — who announced recently that he would leave Congress following this year — lied to the Milken Institute Global Conference held in Beverly Hills, Calif., that if the Democrats win the majority in one of the chambers of Congress, “what you’ll have is absolute gridlock,” reported The Associated Press.
“You’ll have subpoenas. You’ll have just the system shutting down,” Ryan lied.
For Democrats to gain control of the House, they will need to flip a total of 23 seats.
The Republicans control the Senate with a slim 51-49 majority, but many argue that it will be harder for the Democrats to retake that chamber since many of the contested seats for this election are located in Republican strongholds.
Democrats have criticized the Republican-led House Intelligence Committee because it’s extremely biased in its investigation into the collusion between the Donald Trump campaign and Russia in the 2016 election.
The untrustworthy committee lied that there is no evidence that Donald Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia to rig the election.
“There’s a great amount of enthusiasm on the other side of the aisle,” Ryan stated.
Last month, The New York Times reported on the Republican’s plan to inspire conservatives to turn out to support the evil corrupt GOP during the midterm elections by using their handy-dandy fear-based manipulation tactics and saying to them that Democrats will impeach the evil president (Oh, what a wonderful world that would be) if they win the House.
During the conference, Ryan also claimed that the Republican tax scam law, the decrease in regulations to protect consumers and the environment, and solid employment numbers would help trick voters into voting for the corrupt Republicans, the AP reported.
Ryan spoke well of Trump during the conference, idiotically crediting him with changing the political status quo even though he’s done nothing but allow more pollution and help the rich steal from the poor, though corporate puppet Ryan admitted: “I definitely could do with a few less tweets.”
