Donald Trump ‘Loses it’ When He Found Out What Chief of Staff Kelly Called Him

This afternoon NBC News reported that Trump’s Chief of Staff, John Kelly, is going around saying that Trump is an “idiot” behind his back. John Kelly is denying the remarks, of course, but this is from several White House sources. Now Trump is speaking up about it, and his response is not rational, or coherent, or even stable.

Here is what Trump tweeted as a reply to the news: “The Fake News is going crazy making up false stories and using only unnamed sources (who don’t exist). They are totally unhinged, and the great success of this Administration is making them do and say things that even they can’t believe they are saying. Truly bad people!” Due to how often rational observers have called Trump “unhinged,” his hypocritical use of the word here is clearly a classic case of Trump projecting his faults onto others.

Whatever you may think of NBC News, they adhere to basic journalistic standards, and there is no way that they just made up this story, or even faked their sources. If Chief of Staff John Kelly didn’t say several times that Donald Trump is an idiot, then the only alternative is that several people working under Kelly conspired to lie about this, and that’s still another big problem in Trump’s garbage White House. We are left to wonder exactly why this story is leaking today, when John Kelly has been insulting Trump without his knowledge for months, as have many other in the White House, because Trump is very frustrating to work with.

John Kelly’s “idiot” remark regarding Trump comes after H.R. McMaster said Trump is a “dope” and Rex Tillerson hilariously and accurately called Trump a “f-ing moron.” Donald Trump has fired Tillerson and McMaster since then, not for insulting him, but rather for publicly criticizing Russia. Once Trump stops going berserk on Twitter, we will see if he fires John Kelly or not. Our guess is that Kelly will stay, since he hasn’t insulted or otherwise displeased Trump’s boss, Vladimir Putin.
