The Trump campaign spent a$228,000 on three payments to the law firm McDermott Will and Emery, which represents Trump’s personal lawyer, between October and January.
Even though the work was called “legal consulting” on disclosure forms, reliable sources told ABC that they are related to Michael Cohen’s legal fees for the Russia investigation.
Cohen’s lawyer, Stephen Ryan, works at McDermott Will and Emery. Stephen Ryan has represented Michael Cohen in both the Russian election rigging probe and in the case involving a $130,000 payment that Cohen made to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about an affair with Trump, who had recently married Melania.
It is illegal to spend campaign funds on personal things and that Cohen has stated publicly that he was not part of the Donald Trump campaign.
A spokesman for the Trump campaign spokesman refused to comment. Ryan, Michael Cohen’s lawyer at McDermott Will and Emery, also refused to say anything, probably for fear of letting it slip that both her client and the president are guilty.
The new report comes following federal prosecutors revealing that Cohen is being criminally investigated. The FBI raided Cohen’s home and office earlier this month, on a referral from the special counsel Robert Mueller.
Stormy Daniels is suing sleazy lawyer Michael Cohen for defamation for lying that she lied about her affair with fat old Trump. Cohen is using his Fifth Amendment rights for the lawsuit, which of course means that he’s guilty.
