At the end of traitorous sociopath Donald Trump’s disturbing interview on Fox News, he threw a tantrum on TV, in response to a question regarding answering questions that come from Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Donald Trump’s response was a long rambling tirade, leading to this ominous statement:
“You look at the corruption at the top of the FBI, it’s a disgrace. And our Justice Department – which I try and stay away from, but at some point I won’t – our Justice Department should be looking at that kind of stuff, not the nonsense of collusion with Russia.”
As Trump attempted to ramble some more, the embarrassed Fox hosts rushed him away from the phone, with one reminding the president that he has “a million things to do”. That by itself was remarkable: ordinarily, journalists speaking with an interview-shy president want to keep that conversation going for as long as possible. But the hosts of “Fox & Friends”, who are very sympathetic to his evil ‘steal from the poor and give to the rich” agenda, ended the interview themselves, stopping a highly agitated Donald Trump before he managed to embarrass himself further.
It was no minor development to hear the power-hungry psychopath president – the subject in an ongoing investigation – speak openly about interfering with the Justice Department to obstruct justice, which is a felony. In fact, Trump was very explicit during the interview, claiming that he wants federal law enforcement to stop looking into his many crimes and start investigating his enemies, the way they would in a fascist country.
The fascist president attacked ex-FBI Director James Comey and called him a criminal, for example, lying that Justice Department officials are not “doing their job” by not investigating him. “I’ve taken the position – and I don’t have to take this position and maybe I’ll change – that I will not be involved with the Justice Department. I will wait until this is over. It’s a total – it’s all lies and it’s a horrible thing that’s going on…. I’m very disappointed in my Justice Department.”
For those who are keeping score, the current (but not for long) president is attacking his own Justice Department, asking for an investigation about the former FBI director, and he is threatening to grab greater control over federal law enforcement power.
But it seems like just another normal day in Trump’s America.
Jon Chait explained, “The Department of Justice is constructed around restraints designed to prevent any such interference, because the power to use federal law enforcement as a weapon to protect the president and his party, and to harass the opposition, is so terrifying it has to be prevented at all costs. Trump is, on national television, making existential threats to the rule of law.”
Unfortunately it wasn’t the first time. In fall of 2017, for example, the evil president whined, “You know the saddest thing, because I’m the president of the United States, I am not supposed to be involved with the Justice Department. I am not supposed to be involved with the FBI. I’m not supposed to be doing the kinds of things that I would love to be doing. And I’m very frustrated by it.”
His desire to be a fascist dictator is just as strong today.
